After a disappointing bike session yesterday, where I felt fatigued and drained from energy, I was compensated by being my own QOM on today's ride.

Strenght work and menstrual cycle.

Did you know that the effect of women's strenght training can change depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle?
Research has shown that women whom lift heavy weights during their follicular phase (the period from first menstrual day to ovulation) get bigger muscle mass and improve strenght, compared to women doing the same workout during their luteal phase (the phase from ovulation to menstruation).

During the luteal phase in my menstrual cycle, I try to focus more on balance, flexibility, core and stretching, and save the heavy stuff for the follicular phase. #keepitsimplestupid
